Former president of France Nicolas Sarkozy has joked that all Paris Saint-Germain fans need to "pitch in" and put whatever money they can towards a bid to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba.
Pogba is two games away from winning a treble in Turin, with the freshly crowned Italian champions set to face Lazio in the Coppa Italia final next week before meeting Barcelona in the Champions League showpiece in Berlin next month.
However, the France international's agent, Mino Raiola, has previously stated that his client will leave Juve inside the next year and the midfielder is being heavily linked with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea.
PSG are also in the running and Sarkozy - who supports the capital club - responded enthusiastically to a suggestion that he use his friendship with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi to lure Pogba to the Parc des Princes during an online exchange on Friday.
"Message received about Pogba, I share your opinion, but we're all going to have to pitch in," he tweeted.
The 22-year-old Pogba, who joined Juve on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012, has netted 10 times in 36 appearances in all competitions this season.
